Welcome to SmartCV. We value your privacy and are committed to protecting your professional data. This policy explains how we handle your information when you use our AI Resume Builder and Cloud Sync features.

1. Information We Collect

• Profile Data: Name, email, phone number, and job title provided by you to personalize your CV.
• Resume Content: Education, work experience, and skills you input to generate documents.
• Job Applications: Company names and status tracking data within the Job Tracker module.

2. Google Drive Cloud Sync (New)

To prevent data loss, SmartCV offers an optional Google Drive Backup feature. If enabled:

• The app requests the drive.file scope, which allows us ONLY to create, read, and update the specific smartcv_backup.json file created by this app.
• We CANNOT see, access, or delete any of your other personal files or folders in your Google Drive.
• Your data is stored directly on your own Google Drive; we do not store your backup files on our own servers.

3. AI Processing

We use third-party AI providers (Google Gemini and DeepSeek) to assist in resume generation. Your data is sent to these providers solely for the purpose of crafting your professional content and is not used for their model training without your explicit consent.

4. Advertising

We use Google AdMob to show rewarded advertisements. AdMob may collect your device's advertising ID to provide relevant ads. No personal CV data is shared with advertisers.

5. Data Security

All local data is stored using encrypted storage on your device. Cloud data is protected by Google’s industry-leading security standards.
